This year's event is dedicated to the memory of the following reenactors:
David Barrett Julie Rogers Tommy Varner
David Barrett was the event safety officer for the Battle of Resaca Reenactment and captain of the 1st Georgia. Julie Rogers was a member of the Soldiers Aid Society and featured guest speaker at the Battle of Resaca Reenactment. Tommy Varner was a former member of the 28th Georgia.

General:
Camps open to the public at 9:00 a.m.
Battles begin at 2:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Resaca is generally hot in May, so visitors may want to dress in warm weather clothing and bring sun screen and water bottles.
You may also want to bring lawn chairs or portable stadium chairs.
Sorry, pets are not allowed.

The Gordon County Antique Engine and Tractor Club will provide on-site transportation.
The event will be held rain or shine!
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to liability issues, the Resaca Event Staff shall not allow reenactors OR the public the personal use of any type of recreation four-wheelers, off road motorcycles, golf carts or similar type vehicles to operate on site. Transportation will be provided from the spectator and handicapped parking areas.
Due to certain troop camp locations, the Resaca Event Staff will not allow MODERN CAMPING areas for RV vehicles, campers or modern tentage, etc. Modern camping is available at the KOA Campground (10 minutes away) located just off I-75 (Exit 315 - Red Bud Road) at 2523 Red Bud Road N.E. Note: The Boy Scout camp is still available upon advanced approval.
